HOUSE PROGRAMME
DAYS
OF REFLECTION
Practicalities:
all these days being with coffee and registration at 10.00am for
a 10.30am Start. The day usually has two sessions before and after
lunch which is included and the days draw to a close wtih corporate
prayer at 3.30pm after this tea is available (and cake!)
with
departure by 4.00pm. Often there is worship at midday, on Fridays
this is always the Eucharist. We can cater for any special
diets if we know in advance. We can also accommodate wheel chair
users. There are no set charges – we ask for voluntary contributions
which can be gift aided. For all the days the suggested contribution
is £12.50. Guests give more or less according to their circustances

The
house is also available for individuals to use for day or residential
use - either catered or self-catered. Please ask if you would
like to know more.

The
Friends organisation is organising a ‘fundraiser' to provide the
£1000 needed for the stone table which will be the centre
piece of the upper garden. Their ‘winter feast' is on Saturday 18
th February from 7.00pm – please contact the house for tickets.

A day exploring the work and writing of Evelyn Underhill – Anglican
spiritual writer of the early twentieth century. Led by Canon Arthur
Middleton, tutor at Durham University and author of ‘Prayer in a
workaday world' and many other titles.

CONFIRMATION
The
Parish Confirmation will take place on Sunday 29th April at Witham
on the Hill at 10.30am. If you are interested in preparing
to be strengthened in your Christian life through the sacrament
of confirmation then please let any of the clergy or Heather know.
Minimum age i s10 years old, maximum is 210! Preparation will
begin before Christmas. Adults and youngsters will meet in separate
groups.

Silk, who is involved in evangelism both in Lincolnshire and nationally,
opens up the prayer and teaching of Lincolnshire saints – Guthlac,
Hugh, Edward King and others on the command of Christ to proclaim
the Gospel to all nations.

This day is Edenham's contribution to a national initiative by the
Retreat Association. Members of the Regional House ministry team
will offer ‘taster sessions' of different types of prayer.
